The SLZB-MR5U offers a future-proof solution for modern smart homes by utilizing two independent Silicon Labs EFR32MG24 radio chips. This enables the user to simultaneously control both Zigbee and Thread (Matter-over-Thread) protocols with a single device. The adapter is designed for maximum stability, with the connection via Ethernet or PoE providing a robust alternative to traditional USB dongles.

Future-proof and versatile

In addition to the dual radios, the SLZB-MR5U features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, managed by a powerful ESP32-S3 processor. The device supports various advanced functions, including USB-over-IP (passthrough), allowing other USB devices to be made available over the network. Firmware updates, network diagnostics, and management are easy to perform using the built-in web interface.

Simple integration

The adapter is designed to be quickly and efficiently integrated into existing smart home environments. Compatible with Home Assistant, the SLZB-MR5U provides a reliable foundation for both Zigbee and Thread. Mounting is flexible thanks to support for both USB-C and Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing the adapter to be optimally positioned within the network for the best range.
